As a director she strives to create a space where people are allowed to feel without judgment and can escape from everyday life. She wants to tell stories that reach out universally, that we can all relate to and learn from.

Mette graduated with a 'Bachelor of Arts in Character Animation' from THE ANIMATION WORKSHOP in 2009 with her short film ‘PIG ME’ and have since been working as a director, writer, character animator and she has absolutely loved it!

Since April 2020 she has been directing her first feature film, RICHARD THE STORK and the Mystery of the Great Jewel, a CGI animated film for the international market. The film is a german- belgian- norwegian co production.

From 2008 to 2017 she has worked around the world at studios like SONY PICTURES ANIMATION, ILLUMINATION MAC GUFF, MIKROS IMAGE ANIMATION among many others. Titles include ‘CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS II’, ‘MINIONS’, ‘PETS’, ‘SING’ and ‘CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS’.

2017 she returned to Denmark, to focus on writing and directing her own stories. Summer 2017 she became a partner at TUMBLEHEAD ANIMATION STUDIO in Denmark, where she held the title HEAD OF ANIMATION. She developed original IPs as well as doing service work for European, American and Chinese Partners. That work includes 2D, 3D and VR bringing a vision from idea to final form. All projects have been done working remotely which implies structuring teams across borders, giving feedback and visions to artists while planning on various online platforms.

At Cartoon Movie 2020 she pitched her first feature project ‘NORDIC GHOST HUNTERS’ which was very well received by the audience.
